Vision

This chapter provides an overview of the current developments in Information Technology. A number of important technologies in the field of telecommunications, applications and computer hardware are discussed.
A number of sections refer to the growing capacity and the increasing miniaturisation of hardware. The figure below provides an overview of the designations used.
